ESGURS-ESAU26 Award Winners

ESGURS-ESAU26 Award Winners

More than 350 participants gathered in Ghent, Belgium, on 24–25 September 2026 for the ESGURS-ESAU26 meeting, featuring engaging talks, lively discussions, expert debates and live surgery showcasing the latest advances in reconstructive urology and andrology.

Maria Middelares Hospital played a central role at the meeting with national and international experts performing complex reconstructive and andrological procedures in their operating theatre. Thanks to streaming technology, these surgeries were broadcast live to the ESGURS-ESAU26 meeting, allowing participants to follow innovative techniques step by step and enter into a direct dialogue with the operating surgeons. Urologist Dr. Marjan Waterloos: “Exchanging knowledge is essential today to further improve patient care. Colleagues from all over the world were able to follow operations in real time, exchange experiences and learn from each other.”

The meeting also celebrated excellence in the field, recognising this year’s award winners for their outstanding contributions and achievements.
