Oude Vismijn
Sint-Veerleplein 4

Belgium

How to reach the Oude Vismijn

The Oude Vismijn is located in the historic heart of Ghent, within walking distance of the city’s main attractions and easily accessible by public transport. To enter the venue, go to the corner of the square, between the several pub terraces. When you use Google maps for directions, use the phrase: Antigua Lonja de Pescado (Oude Vismijn).

By public transportation

Ghent is well connected to the Belgian and international railway network. The main railway station is Gent-Sint-Pieters, with frequent connections to Brussels, Antwerp, Bruges and other Belgian cities.

From Gent-Sint-Pieters, you can continue to the city centre by tram or bus. Tram lines 1 and 3 provide a convenient connection towards the historic centre. Get off in the vicinity of Gravensteen and continue on foot to the Oude Vismijn.

The journey from Gent-Sint-Pieters to the historic centre takes approximately 15–20 minutes by public transport.

By car

The Oude Vismijn is situated in Ghent’s historic centre, where access by car is restricted. We therefore recommend parking in one of the nearby public car parks and continuing on foot.

The closest car parks include Sint-Michiels and Ramen, both located approximately 450 metres from the Oude Vismijn. From there, the venue is just a short walk through the historic city centre.

Please note that Ghent has a low-emission zone (LEZ). Depending on your vehicle, registration may be required before entering the city. We recommend checking the current LEZ requirements before travelling.

By airplane

The nearest major international airport is Brussels Airport (BRU). The airport has direct train connections to Ghent, making it easy to continue your journey by public transport.

From Brussels Airport, take the train to Gent-Sint-Pieters. From the station, continue by tram or bus towards the historic city centre. Tram lines 1 and 3 are convenient options; get off near Gravensteen and walk the remaining distance to the Oude Vismijn.

For international travellers, Brussels Airport offers connections to destinations throughout Europe and beyond.
